Product Description Sanguine is commonly used in sketching to outline the body. For more elaborate work, it is recommended to add Black Stone to accentuate contrasts and White Pencil to highlight areas of light on the body. Its color is a deep red, varying on rust. The Medici Sanguine pencil offers a darker shade reminiscent of Renaissance red chalks, and brings diversity. The 18th century Sanguine pencil is particularly intense and especially luminous, with a small hint of orange. Set Contains: 6 x Sanguine Sketching Pencils
- Contains the essentials of the Sketch range: 1 XVIII Sanguine pencil, 1 Medici Sanguine pencil, 1 Black Stone 3B, 1 White, 1 Sanguine and 1 Sepia.
- The graduations go from H (Hard in English) for hardness to B (Bold in English) for softness. The higher the number, the harder or softer the pencil.
- The pencils can be sharpened with a knife or cutter.
- Perfect for quick sketches, nudes, portraits and landscapes.
- With a sharpened lead, the line is precise, the color is transparent if the work is lightly sketched. With a half-worn lead, the opacity increases, also depending on the pressure exerted.
